Who we are

Option Trackers (optiontrackers.com) is operated by [Your business / entity name — e.g. an ABN-registered sole trader or Pty Ltd] in Australia (“we”, “us”). We provide an online record-keeping and analysis tool for option and share trading. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Account details — your email address, display name and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself).
The records you enter — option trades, share transactions, notes, images you attach, and settings. These are your records, entered by you, stored so the service can show them back to you.
Technical basics — standard server logs (IP address, time, pages requested) used for security and troubleshooting, and a single login cookie.

We do not connect to your broker, and we never hold your broker credentials or real money. If you import a broker statement, it is processed to create records in your account.

How we use it

To run the service — showing you your records, reports and calculations.
To communicate with you about your account (e.g. a password reset or service notice).
To keep the service safe (rate-limiting logins, investigating abuse).

We do not sell or rent your personal information or your trading records, and we do not use them for third-party advertising.

Storage & security

Data is stored on servers we control, with member data isolated per account.
Passwords are hashed with an industry-standard algorithm (scrypt).
Connections to the service are encrypted (HTTPS).
A backup of the database is taken automatically each day so your records can be restored if data is lost or corrupted.

Cookies

We set one cookie of our own — your login session. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you open the optional interactive price chart, it is provided by TradingView (a third party), which may set its own cookies in your browser; that only happens when you open a chart.

Access, export and deletion

You can download your complete data at any time from inside the app (⚙ Admin → Download). To correct, export or delete your account and its data, contact optiontrackers@gmail.com — deletion requests are honoured within 30 days, after which your data is removed from live systems and ages out of backups.

Data breaches

If a breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected members and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be flagged on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
